At the end of 2015, during the New Jersey Pastoral Co-Workers Conference, Brother Huang Chuanfeng, a campus staff member from the Ambassadors for Christ Association, introduced the Life Impact Camp from Malaysia. After the report, elders and pastors showed strong interest. In particular, Brother Huang Mingfa, the general coordinator from Bethel Center, strongly supported the initiative and traveled to Shanghai, China later that same year to study a similar large-scale experiential camp. After returning, the delegation spoke very highly of the experiential camp model.
In early 2016, after continuous meetings and discussions, it was decided to hold the first North America Life Impact Camp and Church Impact Camp in October of that year. Originally, there were plans for two sessions, but due to enrollment numbers, only one session was ultimately held successfully. Thank God, through the dedicated promotion efforts of co-workers (including Pastor Qiu Lingguang and his wife, Brother Huang Mingfa and his wife, Sister An Yijing, and others), that camp attracted brothers, sisters, and gospel friends from 11 states. During the camp, 79 lives were deeply touched by God. Nearly 70% of the Christians recommitted their covenant before God, 9 brothers and sisters dedicated themselves to ministry, and 3 gospel friends turned to God.
After the inner life impact, the transformation that followed was real. Because the campers’ lives were transformed, participating co-workers began bringing this life-changing camp back to their own churches. In 2017, although we did not actively promote the camp, God personally moved in the hearts of brothers and sisters in California, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, bringing the camp to those places. The life-transforming camp continues. Do you also desire for this camp to come among you? Please contact us.
